Remeber that in order to cause the subjunctive, you need one of the following elements: Wishing Doubt Emotion Things that do not exist Limitation of action based on time or provision Purpose clasuses. Also remeber that if your indicative verb is in the PRESENT or FUTURE, your subjunctive verb is in the PRESENT. If you indicative verb is in the PAST(includes, preterite, imperfect, and yes, conditional too), your subjunctive verb is also in the PAST.
