Oh, To Be In England

Spring 2004





The annual Department of English and Fine Arts trip to England took place during the week of Spring Furlough, 2004. Cadets who participated were

Faculty who accompanied them were Profs. David Rachels and Kurt Ayau.

Cadets saw three plays, Shakespeare's All's Well That Ends Well performed at the Gielgud Theatre, Agatha Christie's vintage 1930s mystery, The Mousetrap, and Martin McDonagh's contemporary The Pillowman. In London, they took a bus tour of the city, visited the Globe Theatre, the British Museum, the Imperial War Museum, Winchester Cathedral and the Tower of London and saw the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.

The group also took a day-trip Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, and Warwick Castle.
